This old concrete pool was between 30-40 years old and had lots of cracks and was falling apart! We were able to renovate the pool back to new by using a alkor liner system. A fully automatic safety pool cover was also fitted.

One of the main problems was the fiberglass steps were badly concealed. The steps had also suffered subsidence and dropped by around 40mm.

The client wanted the pool to look level around the top, stop the leaks from the steps and gain 25-30 years more use out of his pool.

We done the following - pour concrete into the steps to stabilise and stop the flexing, make up the levels with concrete around the top of the pool and install purpose made liner underlay to protect the floor/walls.

We also Lined the pool and steps with a BYZANCE tile commercial (alkor) liner system, the steps also had white non slip treads for safety.

The result was a beautiful looking pool, that will give years of use with no problems and the client was very happy with the result.

This pool was built in the mid 1980's and the pool walls had suffered horizontal and vertical cracking due to ground movement and sub standard construction. The only options available were to construct an entire new pool inside the new pool giving a reduction in size at a high cost. Using the alkor commercial lining system we were able to give this pool, a completely new life for the next 30 years or more. The advantages of alkor is that it is a flexible membrane and allows for small amounts of movement in the walls and floor and is perfect for this type of application. You can see how are also able to deal with more complex shapes.

Project - Kidney Pool

The owners of this outdoor kidney pool had two main problems, one the shape of the pool made it very difficult to cover so they found they weren't using it to the degree that they wanted. And two there were vertical and horizontal cracks meaning the pool was losing water making it expensive to run and looking very tired. Our advice was to construct a smaller rectangle pool mostly within the original pool structure. This achieve both objectives of making the pool more usable as it was a regular shape, easier to cover, and much less expensive to run. These clients they are using the pool 10 times more than they were with the original pool.

This was a interesting project these clients had a large koi carp pond build approvimatly 4 years ago. Every summer they were forced to look at the fish and wish they could also be swimming with them. The disicion was eventlly taken to remove the fish and convert to a domestic family swimming pool. We did this by rebuliting part of the pool walls and installing a heavy duty domestic (super) pool liner.

The owners of this mosaic tiled pool had contacted us due to having to constantly filing the pool on close inspection by us it was found there was very small hair line cracks in the pool structure the options which were available were to construct a new pool inside the original pool shell at a cost of around £50,000 and giving a reduction in pool size or to covert the pool to accept a alkor commercial lining system. This whole project was completed within the client’s budget of £15,000. The life expectancy of this new lining system would again be in the region of 30 years.

This swimming pool had an issue which the steps on the roman end leaking water through various cracks. Instead of replacing the steps which could have cost a large amount of money, the steps were relined using commercial liner strips which sealed the small cracks in the steps.
